Talking about Women’s Empowerment: YES.
More than 50 years ago the Women’s Liberation Movement brought us women out into the world, from the kitchen into paid work somewhere in other people’s enterprises. Well, many of us learnt to become a MAN, to think goal-oriented and in a linear way, to appreciate ourselves by the money we earned – and we gave up our roles as mothers and caregivers to the extent that many of us decided not to have children at all in favor of a work career.
We certainly felt empowered by entering into many domains which traditionally were taken by men. We began to compete with men, we tried to become better men by feeling the need of being better than normally men need to be in order to reach certain goals. And we rejected our truly FEMININE ways of seeing and acting in the world.
So on one side we became empowered by gaining financial independence – and on the other side we gave up to a large degree what you could call our feminine power.
How can we combine what we have learnt so far with our deeper knowing about what is right and wrong? How can we become world changers by an empowerment which allows us to be fully HUMAN and fully WOMAN and encourages us to step up and take care for our loved ones – and for the world?
We had a vivid conversation with Dr.Aikina Finch which was very appreciated by our viewers. Above 2 comments by Rayne Dowell and Kim Bultman.
